Tr3s: MTV, Música y Más creates new digital content

Tr3s: MTV, Música y Más announced the expansion of its digital output with more original and innovative content for its digital platform. This summer, the brand will introduce two new characters: first up is ‘Rico’, an unorthodox foodie and Latin grill master by trade, and then there’s ‘Spooky’, a mischievous and giant opinionated and clever hamster of Mexican-decent. Both characters will make their digital debut on <http://www.Tr3s.com> in July and August, respectively.

“Latinos are one of the largest and most underserved audiences online and research continues to indicate that they seek more bilingual/bicultural content across their multiple platforms.” said Charlie Singer, SVP of Content and Creative for Tr3s. “As one of the premier Latin entertainment destinations, Tr3s is uniquely positioned to deliver innovative content across multiple screens, so we’re stepping up to the plate and introducing unconventional and clever characters that will certainly provide engaging entertainment for this digitally-connected Latino audience.”

“GRILLIN’ WITH RICO”

Five gunshots couldn’t stop him. He’s a wheel-chair bound survivor who loves life and all that it has to offer including food. His familia is his first priority and grillin’ is what brings them together. Meet Rico Chips. A Mexican-American chef who whips up ‘sabroso’ (tasty) family recipes by adding a pinch of passion, and an ounce of street knowledge to create his own style of grillin’.  The 8-part series produced by Chris Brandi, will premier every Saturday, starting July 2nd on www.Tr3s.com

“EL SPOOKY SHOW”

The giant Mexican hamster “Spooky” first made his debut during MTV International’s global 2010 World Cup campaign. Generating a wave of spontaneous online activity across the globe, ‘Spooky’ is now taking center stage with his own reality series. Cameras will pop in on ‘Spooky’ and life with roommate and owner ‘Jogu’, for an entertaining look at his pranks, domestic duties, and everything in between. “El Spooky Show” will produce 12 exclusive onlone episodes to debut in August. The show’s character and storyline was created by La Comu Summer, the experiential division of global independent advertising agency La Comunidad. The show will be directed by La Comu Summer and produced by Error #170 Productora Audiovisual.
